Beater addition gasket
From www.gasketwiki.com
A gasket material that is made up of plant based/cellulose fibers that impart mechanical strength. It is manufactured using common papermaking techniques and is saturated with glycerine-glue. It is a very cost effective material that is commonly used in non-critical applications due to its limited temperature and chemical capabilities.
Typical temperature limits for this type of gasket material is around 120ºC(250ºF) to 150ºC(300ºF) with a pressure range of less than 200 psi. Depending on the composition of the material, this type of gasket is commonly used in water, oils, fuels and organic solvents.
